I am a Cherwell District Councillor for Adderbury, Bloxham and Bodicote. Until May 2015 I was a manager of a large GP surgery in Banbury, North Oxfordshire. I now work as a freelance manager/consultant offering support to general practice across the country.
Before becoming a practice manager I was an army officer in both the British and Omani armies. I was a marketing and sales director of an SME and then spent a time as finance controller of a health project in Central Asia.
I have served as the practice manager representative on Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group Governing Body since November 2011. I stood down from this role in October 2013 in order to be able comment, openly, on Government policy. I am deeply committed to the NHS and would like the opportunity to use my experience and insights for the benefit of the UK population.
